Angry Speed Camera - In Ya Face

The cops have just advise that the 10km buffer over 50 and 100kms will be removed, you will now get sent a tax collection notice at 51kms and 101kms respectively, trying to ride 1000cc bikes with 180bhp and digital speedometers is going to get real interesting this is the link:

'The police advice indicates the 10km/h tolerance policy police have operated since 2000 will be removed.'
so is that bit for sure then?
what happened to the tolerance/error of mechanical measuring devices?

As the article indicated, This has been a proposal placed forward to Annette King. I don't think we will see it happen. It would be too rediculous!

The measuring I am sure is going to be a problem, however, don't under estimate new technologies here, take you average $500 laser rangefinder, it's very accurate and reliable, imagine if they spend tens of thousands on more hi-tech stuff, well they do have a good chance of making the 51 clicks stand up in court

I don't think there is anyone in the country that does not go 10 over the limit. Except for who ever I get stuck behind when I come to that section of cable barrier on SH1 on my bi-weekly trips...

Whoop-de-doo, just buy an 80cc bike if you don't have the self control to keep the speed down (when suitable) on your 'big' bike.

So apparently have a target of 300 road deaths.
    Why 300?
How did they arrive at that figure as an acceptable number of deaths?
Does it somehow make the world ok if only 300 people die on the roads?

Why don't they set limitations on the 300 who are supposedly going to die. For example, measure the IQ of speeding drivers and if it falls under 25 then take them out back and "dispose" of them.
