I didn't really wanna even spend that sort of money of my first bike. buttttttttt I have no one to help me fix a bike if i got one and it crapped out a week later. Hence I'm seriously considering this option. Its a yes at the mo unless a better option turns up.

Well we didn't wanna spend a lot either... but at least buying new you've got a good chance of not much going wrong for a bit,therefore maintenence will be cheaper. Having a quick browse around seems to suggest the resale value of the GNs are not that bad either, so ride it for a year or so, save some money, then upgrade, you won't lose much value on the bike.

If you do end up getting a GN, check the oil reguarly - I cannot stress that enough! Oh yeah, try and keep in inside the bastards are prone to rusting badly.

Congratulations. And the GN is an EXCELLENT bike for a beginner. And beyond, if your requirements are reliable transportation , and not a desire to dice with death at very corner, or interisland touring (though I'd be happy enough to do that on a GN).

thats what I thought "I WAS MORE SENSIBLE THAN THAT" - anybike is fast enough to kill you, just as every puddle is deep enough to drown in.

Wise words from me indeed, but seriously GN nice bike and such cheap but I think you might want to try steal a ride on a gn then a gz, never not try what you buy in bikes just silly, make sure you get good gear to - even if it means not looking cool.

Yes well alot of the young lads told me to get blah blah, or blah blah.. And yet when I made comments bought the bike they recommended all they could say was.. "who cares" Well I care.

I know they do hold there value well, but in terms of future I am foreseeing an influx of badly made bikes to spoil the market, gns are good no doubt about that.
