How is the other person in the red car to know that the blue car is doing a U-turn and not a standard right hand turn?

As far as the red car driver is concerned there is a car indicating a right hand turn that they are required to give way to it, they have to give way until the road is clear for them to proceed.

Look I know what, why don't we all just make up our own rules. We could base them on street size or traffic count or even the day of the week, or or or - hell you choose. And no need to even publish them, just so long as you know what they are no need for anyone else to abide by them, cause they have their own anyway.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.

Come and see the end of my road, in (fairly) central Auckland City!

Why there isn't a Give-way sign there I have no idea!? People get it wrong all the time.

By the way the major/minor road distinction at T intersections disappeared in 1977.

And then what if the red car is doing a u-turn aswell in wich case he becomes right turning traffic for the blue car again but on the other side of the road now. And then maybe the blue car is doing a donut becouse they are a morin and no idea where they are going? Come on man these are answers I must know!!! lol

intersection does not sound like a good place to do a u-turn.

I was quite suprised to see that one when I did mine. It seems it is a road rule but no one actually follows it.

Then its a stale mate and you have to do burnouts to see who has right of way. First tyre to pop is the loser!

I always follow it, especially in a cop car. I love watching the other guy getting paranoid thinking "Why isn't that cop going? Have I done something wrong? Prick must be going to pull me over!" Eventually they drive off with a stunned mullet look on their faces.
