    Red face Im awesome...apparently

    Ha...this sounds a bit egotistic but heres the story:

    Was wandering through the supermarket in my motorcycle gear, just doing grocery shoppping (eye out for hot single mums)...when a ~5yr old boy about 4m away says/yells to his mum (not hot) "awesome!!!....that guys AWESOME!!!".

    I kept my stony visage but was feeling great (and a bit fake). I know Im not [that] awesome but it gave me a bit of a boost. Maybe when I was his age I thought motorcyclists were awesome too? Have I inadvertantly reached my iconic peak already at a tender age of 33? Go me.

    Makes me think that if I saw a Ferrari at 5yrs old, I would have though "awesome, that CAR is awesome!!!"...I wouldnt have thought about the guy/girl/metrosexual inside.

    go Skelstar!! LOL. wish i got that reaction in the supermarket...mostly it's just little kids going "mummy why's that girl got a motorbike?". Although I did once have some dude come chat to me o/s the supermarket about how great looking my bike was, and ok, so he was drunk at the time, but hey, a compliment's a compliment right?? sigh.

    I try to avoid going too many places in my leathers for this very reason.
    Too many people thinking/saying you are awesome makes your head swell and then when you get back to your bike your helmet doesn't fit......happened a few times.
    Usually I just take my leathers off and it gets a lot more comments of an unfriendly nature such as......"yuck put em back on skinny white boy", "you suck" etc which quickly shrinks your head back to normal size. Have to be careful though or it gets too small.

    I love it when little kids do that and they ask you questions while their mum is trying to drag them away. I love it cause I was that little boy when I was younger. I thought motorbikes were the coolest things ever!! Prob a major reason why I've got one today

    These kids are the bikers of tomorrow!!
