The lowest I've heard was 5 km/h over a couple of years ago in Nelson. And the area Commander responsible for the policy was mysteriously transferred soon after.

BTW. The cops answer to the holiday road toll - tougher enforcement.

Someone tell them it hasn't worked in the last 6 years.
Of course NO enforcement would work HEAPS better????

It's the ministers/government, to be exact.

im more worried about the people who run straight thru the red and nearly take me out than the guy going 111k's an hour.... both are dangerous, but i'd say the red light is more so. Of course the deterant for that is something like a $40 fine? or is that for driving down the wrong side of the road? that deterant doesnt mean shit all around auckland. Perhaps the police should put less emphasis on catching people going slightly over the limit, and more on catching those driving blatently dangerous around our city streets.

If i get fined i'll pay the fine, but i dont see that happening as i stay under 110

    Compliments of the season everyone.:spudwave:
Our estimed Minister of Transport, Harry wotsisname, has suggested that it would good if we all "helped" road safety by dobbing in bad driving!
Question 1: If someone dobs you in... what then?:spudwhat:
Question 2: By who's standards is "bad driving" measured?:spudwhat:
Question 3: How can "bad drivers" determine that someone else is a "bad driver"?:spudwhat:

Safest bet is to only do dumb things in front of asian taxi drivers in 4WDs!

According to the AA, that's basically what you guys did between 1990 and 1999.
Didn't the road toll drop far more then than since?:slap:

Then you get people who don't know the road rules dobbing other people in. The cops just love this.
