A poignant reminder that the lights can be turned off for any one of us, at any time, and without warning. I'm also a keen newbie rider in my early 30's. Sensible, well equipped on a carefully maintained bike - I share more in common with Scott than I'm even remotely comfortable with.

I have no idea what to say to you. I'm so sorry for your loss. I may need to consider my choice of transport more carefully.

    Arrow r.i.p.

Allways hurts when another rider goes down, fatality or not. My condolances for all the significant others that is part of Scott's life.

When I read about an accident on 5 January near Pukekohe I hoped it wasn't Scott. I'd talked to him a bit on this site but we hadn't met. I had only spoken to Scott via a keyboard but could feel his spirit in his words. He seemed a real nice guy who liked to do things right. Yesterday I log onto the KB site specifically to find out if it was Scott.

Tragic! Just one mistake in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the consequences are so final.... Given the loss I feel, I can't imagine what it must be like for those who actually knew him. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Rest in Peace Scott.

    Sincere condolences

I recently found out the impact this has on one's family. I truly hope his parents, other family and close friends can at some point be at peace with this, and themselves. Life is so precious, and delicate. From what those that know him said, one solace is that Scott enjoyed life, was a good person and was doing what he loved till the end.

May Scott rest in peace and may strength be with his parents, to let them in time, come to terms with this and be at peace.

    R.I.P.

    I've never met Scott.
I've never even knew his real name.
But I read his words here.
    And he read mine.
And he is a great person indeed.

    That I will always remember.

Farewell Scott. We'll see you in the next life.

R.I.P. Scott. I never met you, but still feel sadness to these circumstances. Motorcyclists are a family that non-motorcyclists will never understand.
