Hmm, this idea I like . . . maybe we could also have a set of spare ball bearings floating round that accidentally roll into the horn inbetween uses? I mean, how were we to know one had fallen in, and would shoot out and whack the little prick upside the head from the force of the compressed air when we hit the button?

Kind of like giving them an automatic frontal labotomy. Mind you, state of some drivers, you would think they have had one already.

So can anyone recomment a brand of air horn to get that's nice and loud and doesn't sound too gay? I had a quick look at the $35 ones in at Super Cheap yesterday, but they looked super cheap and a bit bulky. $35 wasn't too shabby tho!

    Supercheap

I also have bought a Supercheap airhorn (twin) but it was on special or summat cos was only about $25.

Compressor under the seat, chucked the relay (too complicated) and bought a DickSmiff button that could handle the ergs and wired it direct (thru a fuse). Mounted just one of the horns with the rear of it against the radiator as high as it would go. Not too obvious from the front. Had to carve a bit off the bottom of the horn as the front mudguard could rise that high on big bumps. Sounds OK to me and is loud.

Only used it once in anger so far. Some guy decided to pull right into my lane from side road - I was 100m away after taking avoidance action so hope he heard it :spudgrr:

I think all bikes should have them.
I have just found out that they have removed the word gullible from the dictionary

Apparently not with the Supercheap ones but the Repco ones better. Motorbikes should come standard with air horns. The factory horns are pathetic. You can't hear them over then engine noise so what's the point!

Well dad just got home and I walk out and find 3 sets of airhorns sitting on the bench. From repco - $35 each but we got 'em for $30.

Fiamm brand, 2 horns, 12V compressor, piping and mounting equipment. Not bad I say.

I put one of those Fiamm air horns from Repco on this morning. I just used the big one for now, I'll hook it up so that both are connected when I get more time. It's loud as shit! Wasn't too complicated to hook up either.

They should be awesome for scaring pedestrians!
