    bike relocation

does anyone know contact details or a website of the place that will transport your bike to another part of the country? not looking for a trucking company, theres one that uses a van I think and you dont even have to pack your bike up or anything.
I'm off to the pub, I may be sometime.

A KB member around your area may be able to help if they have a van or you could hire a trailer? How far are you going? You don't want to ride it to its new location?

With the cost of shifting a bike around the place its almost worth getting someone to ride it to the destination and paying for them to fly back!

i would have thought shipping it to your house would be the best thing...

i'd call jeffs transport in chch - they'll pick it up on the way thru and drop it at your door (comes up 2 x week)

No packing etc required, but they ain't cheap.

I have used them and the bike arrived safely, however it aws 2 days later than first advised due to some 'problem' on their part. The guys wife/partner/office person is a bit of a defensive linebacker but the bike arrived undamaged (but dirty) so that was all I cared about.

Yep due to the roadtrip brothers all piking out for various reasons and me not wanting a big travel mission solo.I'm going to use Biketrans. The cost is not unreasonable when you do the numbers. Especially when you live 500km's away from where your new bikes at. $200 from welly to Hamilton. that's ok by me if they look after it. It would cost me easily as much to do it myself
