    Stolen - 89 FZR 400 Red White

    Hi guys,

Just a quick post - bike got stolen from the new Warehouse Sylvia Park at 2:58am 14/06/06.

Was motoracers brothers (Sulav)'s old bike.

Guy who took it - White, 25-28, skinny with short hair. Shortish stature. (almost looks like White Trash, but not as tall).

Loaded it in a White Hiace van, black stripe down the sides, but didnt get a number plate.

Will post the video from the security camera tomorrow when i get it. Apparently he is known for stealing bikes / scooters from Botany downs. Any info would be much appreciated.

    Video to come.

    Rego - 71WEJ
Colour - Red white, with a bit of blue.
Distincive features - Short aftermarket exhaust can on it. Right hand engine casing scuffed from sulavs slide. (still, i know! )

    Cheers
    Shadey

    Yep.

I'd offer my Hyosung, but nobody wants to steal a Hyosung (touch wood).

    Good luck with it's recovery.

Asking an obvious question: Was the steering locked and another locked attached to said bike?

I find it absolutely amazing the number of bikes spotted that don't have at least their steering lock done up
It might not offer much, but it's a start. What is even more interesting, the more expensive the bike, the less likely it gets locked up. Yip, the old step through 50cc Honda from 1970 has more than many under 10yr old GSXR, Triples, CBR's etc.

For example: right now, I'm sure that silver GSXR-600 I've seen a dozen times is still not locked up, just waiting to be wheeled away. However the 1980's GN125 parked beside it is another story, would need a few engineering tools.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.
