    Who does what?

    Hi guys,

I saw this on another forum and thought it was a good idea (hope it hasn't been done before).
Everyone posted their jobs so that if they could be of assistance it was easy to find someone near who could help.
My job unfortunately doesn't really help anyone (unless you own a telecoms company) I'm a telecoms network support engineer.
    Ok, what do you do?

    Cheers

    Lee

Just to be different, I dont work for Telecom (although the job before this one I worked for EDS doing Unix systems support for Xtra).

I contract my services out to IBM as a professional web-surfer and occaisionally do some Unix sysadmin, system monitoring and security compliance work when theres no more interesting threads to read on KB.

I'd work from home, but I can't get my ISP to get my frickin ADSL connection to work properly because apparantly theres no DSLAM in the Mt Albert exchange, so the connection has to sync to one in Airedale St which is 11kms from my place. Bugger.

If anyone knows who to complain to in Telecom about the lack of ADSL network equipment, PM me please.

Its not that Telecom does much work anyway, would explain it.

There was another thread that everyone stated their first name and their vocation. I'm A RN at the local public hospital, I work in the inpatient psychiatric unit. Might see some of you telecomians up here one day

Day job, software developer doing corporate systems and the occasional web app.

Weekend job (and of waaaay more importance to bikers), brakes and clutch parts. I can custom make clutch cables, brake and clutch hoses (using low expansion rubber for bikes), reline brake shoes for trail bikes and classic racers (got some super good green lining for classic race bikes). Can also rekit/resleeve/recon/rebuild whatever master cylinders and calipers you got... nearly nothing is too rooted to fix).

/edit: Can even lengthen clutch, throttle, and brake cables. Done both the conversions on OABs gixers
