    Boots

Well I can finally afford to get myself some proper boots.

I've got $300, maybe a little more. I've had a little look in the shops but I'm not really sure. I want to get some fairly sporty ones but they gotta last for quite a while.

Anyone got any recommendations for brands or particular models? Won't be doing alot of walking in them, so I'm really too worried if they're uncomfortable in that respect.

    Your help is appreciated

Got mine for $300ish. Check them out on TRTNR (weather permitting I guess).
They are Oxtar TCS's I think.

Got some Gaerne Aquatech's. They're meant to be waterproof and guess what - they actually are!!! Only reason my feet got wet on the ride to Taupo for the KB track day in December is cos the water trickled down my legs into my boots. They've got plastic all over them so they're kinda funky to walk around in, but personally, I don't want to go losing bits of me so armour is my friend. $280.00 (found a place later that was about $15 cheaper dammit)

I've got Stylemartin Stormy road boots - brilliant. Really comfortable, can wear them all day, to ride in, walk in, stand around in, whatever. 100% waterproof, it's not just what the add says, they really don't leak. I've had them 7 years now.

Stylmartin don't seem to make this model anymore, but I'll be buying another pair of something from this manufacturer when the time comes. They have 13 different models ranging in price from $229 tp $449 accoring to their add in the current kiwi Rider mag.

I think mine are forma revenge too. Around $300. I wouldn't describe them as uncomfortable, I guess cowpoos is used to fluffier slippers than me. But they're certainly at the "showerproof" end of waterproof.

I've got some as well and I'm happy with mine. They aren't uncormfortable and I've yet to get wet or even damp feet even after riding for several hours in 120km+ rain.

i've got gaerne aquatechs - VERY waterproof, but can get a bit hot in this weather we're having. awesome in the cold though - don't have to wear socks even. they are well protected around the heel (i'm a bit paranoid about breaking chain injuries) and have large openings for ease of entry/exit.

Have a look at Stylmartin SBK2's. Waterproof, replaceable toe sliders, comfy and stylish. Retail's $359.00 inc, but we could discuss that.
