I ride the dirt, I ride the tide
I search the outside, search inside
I know I'll always burn to be
Remind me of what left this outlaw torn

Tis a HONDA. They are trying to start it.
Tried to do that once - we were trying to take a Husky away for the weekend...with a Mini.We took the front wheel off and tried to tie the front end down in the boot, but we only had rope....and every time we went around a corner the bike fell over. You need to have that front end very secure, and I see they have some pretty big straps, but can't see just how.
We ended up taking all the seats, except the drivers seat of course, out of the Mini, taking both wheels off the Husky, and jamming it into the back.
Look in the photo, ahead of the bike front wheel. There is some sort of channel that the front wheel is slotted into. I think thats the secret, to keep the front wheel very rigid.Originally Posted by Motu

What if you welded a spare axle to your tow bar? remove front wheel and connect forks to tow bar axle. would that be firm enough ya reck'on?
Might try something like that to get my GPZ500 back from Mt Wellington on the 18th Feb. :spudflip:
This way would be good. Foldable trailer:

Ever notice that anyone slower than you is an idiot, but anyone going faster is a maniac?
You sure the cars not broken down and this was cheaper than a new motor?
You could make a spacer to take the place of your wheel, with a plate on to bolt in place of the ball. But the forces are strong Luke, the bike tilts as the forks turn.
I suppose that nice trailer is Australian zadok, and worth twice the price here?....
Interesting. I would hate to think of the wear on the chain, gearbox and tyre.

And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
No, from the U.K apparently.Originally Posted by Motu

You take the chain off. I read in the book about Burt Munro, that's what he used to do. This appears to be shaft drive though.Originally Posted by Sniper

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!
