    Posers

Hmm, after my thought process being enhanced by a copious application of Bundaberg rum I thought I'd bring up this observation from the H.O.G. rally last weekend.
One of my first thoughts on arriving said rally (my first HOG rally) was " shit there is a lot of new looking jackets, bikes, skin art and studded belts etc around here, what a load of wannabes and posers"
Then I realised that however 'poser' type they seemed to be their heart was in the right place - they could have been doing some other more profitable and 'politically correct' hobby but they chose this, their love (?) of all things H-D related.
Never heard 'other brands' being denigrated, never saw a fight or serious argument and met a shit load of friendly types ( even if they spoke 'proper') and some were no doubt earning 10 times or more of my income - and nobody said 'just a Sportster eh'

800+ bikes went on a 30km+ Thunder Ride, nobody was behaving like a dick, nobody fell off and the public were out big-time to wave and cheer.

    Time for another Bundy.

You mean all you lot are more concerned with FOOD than Harley posers?
Ah well, all must be well with the motorcycle world - and no wonder there are so many fat bastards riding bikes these days.

    Don't worry SD.
    I still think they're plonkers.
Instead of wasting their money on Harley brand underwear and nailclippers, why not sponsor a child in Somalia or build a penguin breeding box?

I on the other hand have no spare money cos it's all going into that f*cking useless piece of shit parked under my bedroom that still refuses to go!!!!!!!!!!
    Better now.

Good Observation Scumdog. I always think the same thing as well but then get talking and drinking and make new friends. I have come to the conclusion that "we're all on bikes so what does it matter if some of us have been doing it longer and harder!" Bet ya had a great time!

But the question on everybodies mind is what was the tassle/non-tassle ratio??
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem

About 14.85% had tassles (give or take about .003 percent margin of error)

Sounds like a good meeting/run to me. There are posers either side of the sport/cruiser fence and it's always good to meet what I deem as "real riders"...non judgemental on your ride and capiblities.
