Whats the law on rego mounting?

Hey people, I gave my bike a fender chop on the weekend and mounted my rego nice and tidily behind the plate. When the bike is on the side stand and you are standing beside the bike you can see the rego where it is.

Does anyone know if there is a law on where you can and can't mount them?? Is where I mounted mine ok?

My WOF is mounted exactly the same as yours, and my Rego is in a similar holder at the opposite end of the plate. Been like this for nearly 3 years now with no probs. You can hardly read it by the time it expires either, after a years worth of water and dirt have seeped in to the holders from trail riding.
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?

Fishslayer i am lead to believe you don't have to show them, eg my rego/wof are in my toolkit under the rear cowl. as long as you can produce them if/when pulled over

even tho the cops radios to check anyway.

Would've thought under the seat would see you nicked for not display a current registration. Seeing as the fine is for not displaying, actually having a rego might not even get you off

/edit: You could rotate it slightly, so that the corner just sticks out from the bottom of the plate. That way the rego biddies will spot it (saving you a fine), and it'll still look ok.

Quasievil has had some experience with this, I remember reading something about it. I'll go find it.

Most meter maids in tga don't even both looking at bikes, and the like

I have been pulled over, cop didn't even ask to look at rego/wof, and all i show on back is plate.
