what is with that $200 for christ sake !!!!!!
I saw her disappear around the corner I rode up to and had her up on it , I said its under my seat, she said the predicatble crap like " sorry sir we dont make the rules" I replied yeah "typical HP wannabe response from a police state activist!!!"
told her to get fucked and took of .
Okay Im not always a class act , but man $200 for what ??????? why the fuck would a meter maid give a shit if I got a reg displayed anyway!!!!
even if I was puilled over by a HP he wouldnt have stung me $200, prolly said you need to display it.
GOD DAMN TRAILED AND EXECUTED BY A BLOODY METER MAID !!!!!!!!!!

the ticket has boxes on it and the box saying "unlicensed motor vehicle" is circled with other as "no display"

    fuk, that really is crap.
Mine is in the same place as yours, so let me know how it goes.
What's the point in it? Just to generate revenue.. The fact you've already paid thru the nose to get it in the first place, just for them to ticket you for them being too lazy to look! Did she even look?
Check she got your rego right too, if not, no ticket
My bro got away with that once - his plate is K1RT (well, his gfs), and the ticket cop wrote KIRT.. wrong car..

    Eeek...

Crapola. Bigtime Crapola. Super Strength Crapola even.

Why was it under the seat?

This sounds like the sort of shit that makes the blood boil. You didn't display it. But you could prove you'd paid for it like the rest of us. Any skin off her nose if (in front of her) you attached it somewhere on the bike?

Unfortunately you'll probably end up having to pay it. Excellent. If it makes you feel better, yesterday i was bone tired after gibbing and puppy training, went for a ride, took $100 bucks out and left the money sitting in the machine.

At least you got to swear at somebody other than yaself...

fukers. can't get the twink out..??

Does it give any details of how you can appeal the ticket? Might be your best bet.. Just claim she's blind and that it was clearly displayed. Move it now, and take a pic. Then say that's where it's always been..

I've been told tho, that they often won't back down from anything and support their own. If they back off for one, then they have to do it for more.. Which is a pile-o-poo, but I'd appeal. Glad I wasn't parked next to you - she'd double her quote/revenue!

Just do the usual write-in, show that the bike was registered at the time, tell them it was under the seat, and you're very sorry for being so naughty, make up a good reason for that (hard to mount on a 636, or summat), include a photo of the shiny new rego holder on the rear fender that you sorted out the very next day.

You'll probably get off the ticket.

When you pay the licensing fee you get a label that shows the date your licence expires. You must display this label on the left-hand side of your motor vehicle's windscreen, or near your number plate (for trailers or motorcycles).

mate, the councils(she works for the council) willingly accept submissions and have plenty discretion to waive it. write a nice letter straight away enclosing a copy of your current reg & you should be ok. mate it's revenue collection once again... good luck

You could try writing in with a clear photocopy of the current reg sticker and saying something like you placed it there cause they kept falling off in the rain/getting nicked or something.

I got one a few years ago when my bike wasn't wof'ed. Thing was it was booked in that day so once done I sent in a copy with an explanation and they let me off. That was local council though not the Feds.

    that sucks arse mate.

Would there be any chance if you did take a photo of posting it and showing where it is currently displayed? or you bugjuice? Might just help the rest of us understand. Surely if thats where your kawasaki dealers put it its got to be a reasonable place.

I got a ticket for the same thing when my bike had an expired warrant and was parked in town in the morning since I was booked in to get a warrant at lunchtime. I ended up taking it to court and still lost. I've got no fucking idea how I managed to lose that one though.

I haven't got anything straight to hand (have you Quaz?).. This is a pic of mine, you can make out the holders just behind the plate, next to the indicator.. And it's not like I'm duckind down to take this pic either..
The bikes come with about 10kgs of plastic off the back, hanging down. Doesn't look all that great, kinda spoils it's sexy lines, so whip 'em off. Originally, they are screwed on below the plate, I think.. it's not standard anyway..

You can see some of the standard rear in this pic
