Goodbye Suzuki Hello Aprilia

Well after a long six weeks of waiting for the insurance company to decide what they were going to do about my old RF900 the decided to write it off and today I got myself a Aprilia Falco.
What a nice peice of kit! Got the Aprilia carbon cans and the RS chip and Aprilia factory luggage.
Im really looking forward to the weekend and taking it out for a decent ride. At least a couple of tanks of gas.
The guys at Motorad did me a great cash deal and Im stoked.
May even get out for another TRTNR next week!

i looked at/rode a very nice yellow falco before settling on the TL - was only a price thing that i didn't get it. very nice, plenty of cool engine noise, and felt nice and big. they are kitted out prety well, but the exhaust looks a mission (expensive) upgrade, as it's all one-piece. they certainly have plenty of cool factor. i found some very good write-ups on them. one of the english bike mags had one on long term test, and pulled it apart after 20000miles of bikermagazinetyperiding, only to find they had wasted their time, and the engine and bike was as good as new.

Good for you,I bought one new in 2000(first one registered in NZ) and had the SL Carbons fitted,awesome machine,did 24,000k's in 14mths. Don't listen to anyone about it needing a Ohlins rear shock,if your around the 90-100kg mark just contact Robert Taylor (Mr Ohlins, Hawera) and see if he'll sell you a heavier spring,better on tyre wear/life. Watch out for the dodgy stand,make sure you always park it on a level surface.

Yep Im on to the shock issue. I have got a price back for an Ohilns from him. Hadnt thought of just the spring option, thanks for that.
As for the stand...that was my only concern with it, man it is dodgey. Im looking of a USA model stand or an adaptor through a guy in the UK because it scares the shit out of me, especaily with the good old Wellington wind.
