Yeah I agree with Blitz , take your camera/phone and uncle if you can just incase they try something stupid. Act fast and hopefully you'll catch them before they try and cover it up.
I can't stand wankers who run from a accident. Maybe the wanker has been drinking and driving.

I used to work for Wormalds. Ringing their after-hours number is pointless, it just goes to some pleb in an alarm-monitoring station who won't be able to do anything about this.

Phone them first thing in the morning. Good luck.

Even if it is , put in the clai,m. That makes it an injury accident, official like. Nothing like having a bit of paper in such matters.

Coulda bought yourself a new two fiddy, a case of cigars, and lit them with the rest of the money (though I'm not sure if this new plastic stuff burns?)

Seriously though, I hope that you can find someone reasonable to deal with. I'd be trying to find as many Wormald cars as you can (have they got a depot?) and getting a pic of the one with the broken headlight.

Next time make sure you get the plate. I got rear-ended by a chick who fucked off on me, got her plate and hit her up the next day. She went white when she saw us, and without any threats at all (we were all smiles), she fessed up.
The car was on the other side of the round about and i was a fair way up the street but the time I got the bike under control and stopped on the side.
I hope I don’t have to get a Insurance Replacement as it is a 1994 bike and there is very few of them about. And to say the least I don’t want bike that’s had the guts ripped out of it. All the front end of the bike is fine except the where I binned last time. The bike needed a respray anyways because of this. Not quite sure what to do. Have to see what the insurance company wants to do about getting it assessed etc. Can someone fill me in on this?

Like you say Dan it could have been worse, but what an inconvenience to you! Glad you didn't get hurt and hope somehow some compensation comes your way to fix your bike up.

If someone else is at fault, I think you can either demand that they fix your bike to it's original state, regardless of cost, or you could ask for a $7k payout.

Total pain in the arse for you though aye, really hope that you can get the bastard.

Shit mate that really does suck shit, oh the withdrawl symptoms from not being able to ride will kick in soon! I hope you have a push bike? that'll help temporarily.

I hope at the very least you have a witness or you yourself could identify the driver. Best wishes. I think this will be a case of goes around comes around, next thing you know this guy will probably have his kid run over and the driver take off.

Bummer mate, not nice at all, However, you weren't hurt, which is the really important thing (apart from your dignity and pride....that'll keep)....

(..as an aside...was your bike parked in by Graeme st in the city...by the council offices????)

If the guy did a runner in a company vehicle, he may be retarded, or have recently suffered a blow to the head, possibly from the last person he smashed into.

Don't give up on Wormalds, ask to speak to a regional, or area manager, don't dick around trying to speak to branch managers, they will be as arrogant as the driver, and won't want to know about it.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine about 4 years back, he got t boned by a guy in a courier van, who just fucked off, and left him bleeding in his car.
