    suzuki GSX600F 1989 spark plugs?

    hi, im new here and know nothing about bikes.

    what size are the spark plugs in my bike? ive read on the net they could be 12 or 14mm??

    thats helped a bit, cheers

    the bike has NGK DR8ES spark plugs

    which size long reach socket will i need to buy to get these out? is the hexagon part of the spark plug going to be 16mm?

    They're 18mm . Sodding oddball things. You'll need an 18mm long reach socket - or a proper 18mm plug socket IF you can find one at a sensible price.

    sorted that now, thanks.

    didnt realise that 12mm spark plugs all have 18mm heaxagon bits on. i even have a spark plug socket market 12mm that fits them, stupid me!

    Ta for the info! Got the same model meself, but haven't bothered to change the plugs, yet. It still starts and runs fine so I guess I'll change them when it doesn't... Lazy, I know, but then Colemans is pretty good with their rates for servicing, so I may give it a present sometime. It's only done 39k. How do you like yours? Anyone else with these older Gixxers?
