Seriously though - I got pulled a week or two ago, and one of my two wheeled colleagues went past on the NW... swearing and yelling in the general direction of the cop. Cop asked me "What's his problem?" I laughed and told him I didn't know.
Cop said "I think I might find out..."

the cops aren't watching the shite on here. reading it for a laugh maybe! i was in welly a couple of weekends ago, and with the constant stream of bikes to and from the rimutakas it's pretty obvious they're not going sightseeing!
then, trying to behave like grown men when you're really just boys (ie doing a runner with no bike licence, snapped for $630 speeding - that's 46-50k over the limit and a roadside suspension) then coming on here claiming the cops are hunting you and you're such a poor victim for being picked on blah blah blah is really just pathetic.
one day soon we'll be reading about how some poor wellington biker died in a police chase, and it's all the police's fault......well it won't be, and someone will have used up all their lives, and some of us who have seen it all before will say 'told you so'.
this thread is one of the reasons i ride, for the most part, with trusted mates, or on my own.

The District Commander and I had just been for a nice ride. He was on his GSX1400 we were on the Trophy.
The late afternoon sun was rippling off his courtyard swimming pool and as we stood around the BBQ he handed me a huge slab of crayfish that he had pulled out of the ocean that afternoon.
I sat back in the deck chair and was about to scoff it as his Mrs handed me a Steinie.
All I could say was 'Mighty fine town you're running here Sherrif.'
I like policemen. I don't like it when they give me tickets or have to enforce laws that are just taxes, but I do like it that they deal with all the p'ed up fuckwits, theives, gangsters and dregs of society - so that I mainly don't have to.
I've got some good mates that are cops and I'm not scared to admit it. You wanna trash em personally you can kiss my arse too. The system they are paid to employ is open slather, however.
Why I do keep it quiet about the politicians i hang out with too.
Marty is probably a really nice guy at work.

And for all the moaning and whinging, who here would do the job of the Police? I sure would not, from the limited interactions I have with them. Heck when thing go totally nuts (not very often) we get them up to help as where do you think they send all the P freaks? Its a shyte job sometimes that the Police do and yea, they deserve our respect. As for the tax collection at the road side, complain to Aunty Helen
