Matching leathers to bike gay or cool?

righto. another stupid question. I've been looking around at some new leathers cause the ones i have now are from my first bike which was 4 years ago... and they seem to have... er... shrunk.

so i want new ones, and i dont want black. which obviously leaves me with coloured options.... but i am having the darndest time trying to find much green stuff to match the bike in New Zealand.

there is one guy selling green sports bike jacket on trademe and it doesn't look too bad. but what has really caught my eye is a kawasaki jacket on ebay from the states.

i think its really cool. AND it seems to have all the buiso in terms of armour and protection etc. but its branded... is this gay?

also i have a couple of other green options that aren't branded but i still quite like...

is this the equivelent of a boy racing covering his car in Horse Power Stickers?

EDIT - updated with prices in USD:

    option 1: Joe Rocket: $425.
    option 2: Icon motorhead: $290.
    option 3: Icon sports: $350.
    option 4: AlpineStar Stunt: $320.
    option 5: Teknic $245.

Me, I reckon coloured leathers / jackets are gay (in all senses) full stop. Black is the only colour. But it's a free world. If you like 'em you're the only one who has to wear 'em. Why go through life making your decisions based on what other people think.

if you get a matching helmet with some flecks of green any of those would look good.

I think they look pretty cool, but if you swap manufacturers at some stage......... Neutral colour scheme might be more practicle.

green helmets are another thing that is hard to find for some reason. lots and lots of motorcross ones, but the only ones for road i can find in NZ are super nice (read expensive) shoei ones...

The first jacket is way cool, i have a blue and white bike and a blue/white/black leather jacket, was going to but the red one but it clashed with my eyes so i opted for the blue one.........i also have a black jacket with Yamaha on the sleves and tuning forks on the back, no shame in looking styley, you have to impress yourself.............

Never really been into the colour thing myself but some leathers/bike combination do look pretty cool. My Daughters buy me bright colured stuff for christmas ETC hence I am a bit of a colour coded mess as I have blue, Silver and Yellow bikes.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

I think it looks good. Quasi has/about to make custom leathers isn't he? Might be able to make some black leathers with a bit of green

If you are going to stay with the green machines in future why not wear matching colours. Will look good and no-one would dare say it is gay. Black and you are just one of the sheep doing what is expected of a bikie. Stuff that. Do what you feel is cool bro.

As long as it is blCK AND has tassles you'll always look cool!

But for a sprotsbike rider the 'toothpaste tube' look seems to be the trend these days - maybe you could go that way - but with tassles???
