Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Yous fullaz is funny....

The marketplace of ideas works it's magic, and we are all enlightened for it.

Now I know not to piss Finn and dynamitus off, cause they will beat me to death with many bundled flowers, whilst driving alongside me in a porsche, wearing the Swat commando team blue uniform, and typing up BS descriptions of my demise, posting them to fascist websites... What a way to go!!!

The introspection caused by the posts of Quasi and Str8jacket made me sit up and think. In a world with no absolutes, everyones opinion is right, and no one can be wrong. Viewpoint is the only distinguishing factor. (Thats a Mock, I honestly believe everyone has a "moral compass" if you do something wrong, you know it is wrong)

I suppose death is a heavy price to pay for a really stupid decision, and perhaps even a lifetime of really stupid decisions, and obviously for that reason, capital punishment isn't in any NZ courts arsenal.

It probably is the cynical self righteous part in me that finds it to be poetic justice, and rejoices somewhat at the death of someone in those circumstances, and yet, the thoughts of quasi and str8jacket do envoke some shame in me that I should think that way.

Is it fair to say we were all presented with the same opportunity to go off the rails, and whether we took it or not isn't because we are inherently good or bad, but perhaps a combination of factors, including, but not limited to upbringing?

The closest to fair and reasonably objective way I can think of to look at it is to say, if this were my child, what would I be thinking, or doing about their criminality?

My answer, give them a kick up the ass, and make them face the consequences, and feel the shame for their actions.

I would want my child to have a second chance, after paying the price, but I certainly wouldn't want them to rejoice in someone elses downfall.

The best justice is when an offender can honestly see the error in their ways and is rehabilitated. I just wish that we could honestly say that in our justice system, that is the most common outcome.
Is restorative justice the answer? In this case, it can't be. Too late for that one. He made his own decision, that cost a bit more than he bargained for.

    Communists ride bikes.

If we had a communist government, we would not have scumbags. Therefore fewer, or no, stolen bikes. Just some pock-marked walls.
I'm not a bloody communist,I'm a bloody redneck,an don't you forget it mate.If we had a redneck gov't we'd also have less scumbags,no pock marked walls, but lots of happy hound dogs.

Hardly, my limited time spent at school was out west and no one can take the piss out of me better than I can.

Why are you getting so upset? You'd think the low life was related to you the way you're carrying on. You're not very "Evil" at all my friend.

It's the karmic appeal of the situation that I enjoy.
He was probably thinking how cool he was riding some other suckers bike when Officer Power Pole stepped out in front of him.
