I have to agree with Jantar, I've had the quick flash of the lights or the finger out the window quite a few times on the 'Wing while doing speeds that could get me an expensive ticket.
Keep the shiny side upright, Rhino.

I wonder if the type of bike has a bearing on the likelihood of getting an admonitory flash instead of the flashing red and blues?

Are you more likely to be pulled up on a big sprotsbike than on a BMW? On a Harley as against a GoldWing. On a sprotsbike or a scooter?

I imagine cops have prejudices like all of us. And I suppose that sometimes if he is in two minds about whether to bother or not, his perception of the "image" of the miscreant may influence the decision.

Clothing , too. Do toothpaste suits send more of a speed demon image than bad-boy black leather. Or vice versa.

I wonder if reflective vests might tip the balance occasionally, sending a "I'm really quite safety conscious" message.
