    Liked smells while biking:
    Fresh-mown grass
Somebody's roast dinner hanging invitingly on the evening breeze (bastards)
Gisborne citrus orchards on a spring evening
    The sea
Silage (well, I was once a dairy farmer's son)
Hot tar on a summer's evening
    Beer...

    Disliked smells while biking:
    Diesel fumes from SUVs
Smokey exhausts from cages that shouldn't be warranted
    Sheep shit from stock trucks
    Decaying road kill
    Burning rubber

Love riding past a patch of blackberry or scrub on the side of the ride and getting the sweet stench of the ol mary jane...it gives itself away most of the time :/

Will often blow the last puff of my ciggy into my helmet to get me by until the next stop

Love most the country smells except silage and cow shit. Cow shit smells near the road, spell danger.

    Can't stand diesel stinkies.

Love the smell of 2 strokes. When I was a young fellow, most of us had 2 strokes and they still remind me of lazy summer days blasting through the twisties. Hardly ever smell 2 strokers now.

Farting is a problem when riding and especially when riding hard. Best saved for the long uphill climbs when you need some turbo assist. Just gotta watch you don't blow the rear out of your leathers when you cough in your rompers.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Dislikes: pig shit, rotting cabbage in the fields, diesel smoke. Also petrol because it makes me wonder if my petrol tap is leaking again.

Likes: the smell of the air after heavy rain when the sun comes out.

Major dislike is that 'burning hair' smell that comes from the catalytic converter on some cars
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Love the warm motorcycle oil smell you get after thrashing your bike for a while.

Hate the Ngauranga gorge smell in a southerly (meatworks and such)

mmmm... there's an intersection near me with a bakery on one corner and a coffee-roaster on the other! Fresh baked crusty bread and fresh coffee!! OMG! yes! yes!

Oops excuse me... got a little carried away there...

bad smells... who said burning hair? Burning hair has to be the worst smell ever. Mainly because it usually means my head's on fire again.

I've noticed a relatively new smell has been added to the list of wonderful wafts I experience when motormacyclcing here in NZ compared to the UK. Cannabis/ grash/hash or whatever it's called these days.

I know for a fact someone is doing some serious 'herb' cultivating about 10K from my home.

    What a wonderful smell.

I love the smell of almost everything bar silage. Food smells always make me hungry and I especially love the smell of burnt rubber!

Yeah I hate it when my hair catches fire. Gave up long hair just cos of that. Never had it happen when riding though. Spontaneous combustion within the helmet ?
