Ah, do y' tell me so, now. Strange though, so many people here complaining about Helen Clark and her *Socialist* government ('tis not really socialist, mind, a real socialist government they wouldn't be complaining. About anything). Still , doesn't *quite* sound as if capitalism has all the running?

BTW do you know the latest sneaky trick the unions have? Almost worthy of communism this. You can belong to the union - AND YOUR EMPLOYER DOESN'T KNOW. Until he tries to pulls some shit, and then the union comes in firing from the hip. Your staff might all be union members for all you know. Maybe they decided to join the union and just not tell you, and keep the pool tables and such as well.

why should the employer know, its none of their business, whether you use a union or hire expert legal advice to sort problems out

employers have nothing to worry about if they are on the straight and level,

if they are not then they can expect employees to look after their interests as best they can

unions only thrive when management are not up to scratch

If anyone is serious about Harley Imports i can help. We have access to a good range of used Harley Davidson imports at better than retail prices. Finance and insurance is also available to approved purchasers.
No we do not have them "on the floor", we purchase to order to keep costs down. That way we can pass on the savings.

    phew

Glad to see this thread is back on topic again....Finn, Ixion and all maybe a suggestion would be to take your socialist union diatribe to a more appropriate forum...someone was asking for some advice on buying a imported Harley..sorry not wishing to bag anyone but it seems that the threads have a habit of being hijacked and losing the point totally and (maybe I am the only one) but it sure as hell gets annoying..anyway rant over..have a good one

Yeah, I agree. One reason I don't come to this site much.
What has this dribble got to do with Imported Harleys?
I've seen most topics go way off subject and sometimes just can't be bothered.

why would ya buy a jap import, nz new harleys are so cheap and have good options. I had a mate buy a jap import and it was a dog, he sold it then brought a usa import, that was worse, had a bent frame. Those import bikes dont have the same power, because they are speced up for differnt countries. Stop fucking around, and get a new one, or get a 2nd hand one here in NZ. 2006 Harleys are good value, if ya gunna get a jap import, then you may as well go buy a intruder.....

You wait till Ixion see's this post. He's a moderator you crazy fool. You better appologise and quick. I once criticised his communist views and I was banned for 6 months and had to pay him $100 fine.

    Harley intruder???

Not all importers and import dealers are dodgy. Some of us are here for the long hall and will stand behind our bikes. If anyone ever brought a bike off me that had i problem i would sort it pronto. Repeat business is my game, not ripping other people off.
When you are checking out an import ask lots of questions. Where is it from (Japan or USA or Europe)? Is it a Full power model? Has it been crashed and repaired? etc. Ride the bike for an hour or more before deciding. Get used to how it feels. Then try another bike of the same model from the same place, or somewhere else if they dont have another one for you to compare against, so you can satisfy yourself its not a dog.
Then before you hand over the reddys get a mate to come look it over as well. Its hard to be objective when you want something badly.

Wrong. This country has produced a bunch of slackers that know how to milk the system. The employment laws and rules heavily favours the employees. Like most laws, they are passed for the minority of arseholes but effects all of us. So even if you do well by employees, there's always going to be a hand full that'll try it on.

Once such arsehole took me on last year and we won and have been awarded significant costs. He has no money but does have a house...

I got my Harley in Korea. Before that it came from the US, where they all come from. Sure there are good ones and bad ones - if you are smart you'll get a good one; if smarter, you get a dud for a bargain and fix it up yourself.
