How do you mean? To adjust them you normally just wiggle them . You will never be able to set bike mirrors up so you can actually see directly behind you. Cos you are in the way !

Don't need to , just weave a bit.

Half the time bike mirrors are pretty useless anyway , either just show your arms, or a blur.

I very strongly suggest that you go do one of the BRONZ Ride Safe courses, they will cover all this sort of thing.

Mirrors will always be hard to use.... i have mine pointed outward so i can see either lane of traffic on a motorway...
my advice.. use your third mirror... and get used to turning your head

You can see anything out of them??? I just get a mirror full of elbow and a little bit of road or with the pack on don't even get that.

Just turn you head and look. There's not much more you can do other than get a different bike with mirrors on the handle bars not the fairings. They are a bit better.

all you will normally see on a CBR is your elbows you have to tuck them in to see anything behind you

I ride up the middle of a driveway so I can adjust the mirrors properly. If the mirrors are not getting past your elbows, you may be able to get after-market or generic mirrors that are longer.

I just get the tips of my elbows in the inside edge from your normal position, you'll have to tuck them in to see directly behind. Not many bike mirrors are that good but better than nothing.

the mirrors on my bike I think are good, see fairly well.... and the best most usefull mirror I use is the backs of my front indicators ... they are a nice chrome and work absolutely marvelous as a convex mirror allowing me to see in my blindspots both sides.

Try adjusting while sitting on your bike in the driveway (if you can sort of crouch down similar to your driving position) then next time your on the road you'll have to do a bit of fine tuning. With the CBR riding position tho you will have to physically move yourself while riding to have any chance of a reasonable rearview in the mirror.

The Journo's have been comlaining of the silly set ups on sport bikes for years! Mine is typical in that only about the outside couple cm is any use. Touring and "naked" bikes tend to have mirrors which are actually useful and you can see behind you. Not much you can do without replacing or extending them. I've adjusted to the limited rearward visbility and just put up with it.

    hi

Hey, um, don't you set your mirrors up so you can check the car behind you in your left and the cars passing in the right. I can see a bit of my jacket in both mirrors.
