Sunday's weather looks like it is going to be worse than today
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes

    Bone dry and toasty warm.

    Yay dririder.
I'm finding Dririder stuff pretty damn good too. I got one of the cheaper jackets and pants.

Next time I will buy a jacket with loads of vents and pants with a removable liner.

The main problem I am having is not the rain - it's trying to stay cool inside my spacesuite.

I'm sure I'm dryer when I get to work than the cagers who have to sprint from their cars.
Modern riding gear is worth every cent.

I just wish I could use my own private gear for work purposes,(Auck to Wellywood bone dry in the worst weather)

but I know that the first 10 mins tonite my leather gloves will be saturated and then the issue beema gear should be leaking by the third hour...

thats when it gets even worse...I guess I'll then be ordered into a tintop for the last seven hours ....THATS WHEN LIFE REALLY SUCKS...(suggest you all dont want to meet me after 8pm tonite!!)

Given your job, I'm surprised that you don't get the best of everything. Budgetary considerations or Procurement failing to consult with the end users?

I used to do that - it worked very well.
But I got an LCD replacement, without asking for one, and without first blowing up my monitor.
Now where do I dry my gloves? :spudwhat:

(It's actually a trick question - I'm leaving here in a few weeks and I think my new PC has a CRT monitor.)
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Pretty damn cold and wet in christchurch this morning... Makes lane splitting a neccessity. My gear is stewing in my locker and will smell like buggery (not that i know what that smells like) when i go home.

How far to the nearest set of premium quality corners on your motorcycle? Or should I say 'corner'.

Yeah I'm pissed off with the rain. Was supposed to be testing a Moto Morini 1200 and the Daytona 675 for KR quick spins the past few days.
You can't make a reasoned assesment in these conditions and definitely not the conditions for lugging the good camera.
    Tomorrow maybe.

    Nope, not wet enough.

The water was only up to my knees.

Well, I got to werk dry. Not quite sure how, black clouds on every side, but they ignored me, except for a half hearted attempt on the motorway for about 5 minutes. Der Uberfarter just did his Teutonic sneer and farted. The resultant mushroom cloud expanding outward kept the rain off. So long as I keep going at > 80kph the rain just goes over my head, don't need waterproofs. Of course , if have to *stop* , or slow down - oh shit. Wonder if a cop would accept that excuse.

All I care about is that they don't close the rugby feilds on Saturday. The sun is for summer.
