Any TV show about street motorcycles will focus on Harley Davidson.

It would cover all the small events that don't get TV time, Gladstone hill climb, the rapa sprints? you know just to help the funding of the events.

Yeah, but you probably don't have that many ideas do you.....

He wasn't putting down harleys he was making a comment that most bike shows tend to focus on them.

Bike shows would focus on them cause they are twice the price of a fucken mint jappa.

But not this one, the sports bike market is building up to explode, and a show would be a great idea to help get the bike seen out there, giving advice on safe riding etc gear blah blah

Given the number of bikes on the road currently and the number of bikes that will be purchased (no doubt due to fuel prices) I think this is a bloody good idea. You only have to look at the number of diffent types of bikes out there to see this programme will appeal to a wide demographic. There's no reason why it cannot be based around a Top Gear type format with a presenter or two who aren't between 16 and 21. Big Dave would be a perfect producer (not volunteering anyone) and Sarge could do voice overs for it (He does them already).
Adventure riding, trials, quads, scooters, tourers, sports... there is just so much programme content available. Not to mention bike reviews - "GN250, They're everywhere". A season of 10 half hour or hour long shows on a Sunday arvo would be quite good.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Is it? I'm not so sure. In fact the bike market that is exploding in NZ is the scooter market. With midline all rounders like the EL6N coming on strong. And big cruisers and Harleys doing well. Pure sportsbikes seem to me to be holding their own, but no more .Maybe if you include Buells as sportsbikes, but not otherwise.

Oh, and the minichoppers and such like. In the eyes of the public they're all motorcycles.

And the biggest single bike market by far in NZ is the off road one.

Didn't Jonathan Bentman host something on Sky a few years ago? I seem to remember seeing something -- and enjoying it.
