Oh, my sainted Aunt Prudence. Don't at all costs let Mr Motu see this. We'll never shut him up.

    That's fantastic!

    I'll take two.

I know where I can get a P&W R2400 for $US325,000. I spotted a Bristol Centaurus on Ebay a month or two ago as well.

Hee hee,I love it!! But wouldn't it be even better if it was a Gnome rotary?! I can't quite figure out, seeing as it's a 7 cyl,how come one cyl is at the top,and one at the bottom? Each must be just a tad off vertical.Imagine the torque reaction, blip the throttle at the lights and you'd roll into the local dairy.

Before he gave up and made a silly side valve V8,Henry Ford was going to build a radial engined car to replace the Model A - I've never seen a mock up,and have always wondered how he was going to fit it in.

Lol a Gnome Rotary. And we thought that Moto Guzzi's listed at standstill when you give it a bit of throttle.

Mind you provided you could get going and the the Rotary spun to the left, it would make an ideal dirt track engine.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnome_Rotary

Bear in mind that the whole engine rotates.

Beautifully engineered! You don't often see machinery these days with that much care and thought put into their construction.
Have a look at the site in post 1 of this thread, if you haven't already. Awesome machines - truly hand built.

The site is very interesting alright - I can see hoe the cyls are now,and the huge right angle drive to the clutch.

Hey,and look what else was there - Kenny's little dirt track scoot, another that looks even scarier,a beaut Velo custom for Ixion, and look what Mert's doing, there is a picture of Mert Lawill too,so he was there.Burt's Indian is there too,in with thew big boys finaly.
