Angry Fuck!! Downed in the Manawatu Gorge

Where to start? Well this morning my brand new boots from quasi arrived, smelt nice, looked great and the perfect size. Thought to myself, hey why dont i go for a ride to try out my new boots. was having a great ride round the phiatua (sp) track got the toe sliders to the ground a couple of times, boots working great. Heading back to palmy through manawtu gorge, giving my rg150 its beans. Coming up on a merc 4X4 so decide to overtake, when i start to pass it speeds up i get level to the rear door just before a right hand corner, all clear around the corner coninue to overtake, merc cuts corner and collects me! I am doing between 100 and 120kph. Can't remember anything of what happened, just lying in the middle of the road. Visor missing helmet and gear is fucked up AND my new boots. Got up, pick my bike up with one arm, my right arm too sore, push it to the side of the road. Apparently we got another i didn't see you driver. (I suppose it was coincidence that he speed up when i tried to pass) They drove me to hospital to get checked out, had two sore knees sore wrist and one killer head ache. They left me a card with thier details and it said "Details of the owners whose car you hit" stupid old fuckers!! I couldn't believe it!!!

Anywho, to come to the point is there anyone who can help me pick my bike up from the side of the road in the manawatu gorge (its unrideable) i just need a trailer or a van because i've got no money to hire a trailer. Any help would be welcomed and appreciated.

Edit: the boots are reasonably damaged, sole almost ripped off sliders ripped off but my ankles and feet are unhurt so BIG UPS to quasi and his boots.

    Stupid idiots.........

At least they had the decency to take you to hospital, or were they worried about vehicular manslaughter.........

Crashing is a sickening feeling isn't it....... especially that moment when you realise damn it's too late and wait to hit the ground......

Glad to know you're relatively OK......

At least they ain't no broke fella's so they can afford to buy you another RG.

HAVE YOU REPORTED THIS TO THE POLICE?

Make sure you do, and get YOUR version of the story in.

Note how they are already twisting it so that you are the guilty party - "the car *you* hit".

And the usual caveats - admit nothing, don't talk to them, be certain to expressly say in the police report that THEY hit YOU.

Remember you must do this within 24 hours (so must they)

I'll prob get some red rep for this but, can't do nothing about it because i have no license, got over 100 demerits and really shouldn't be riding so... no insurance etc. Not complaining though because I made the decison to ride. Just my bad luck I guess (or dumb choice). You live you learn.

What Ixion said. Be very clear that you were attempting to pass in a legal manner at a legal speed. Also be clear that the vehicle you were trying pass sped up to prevent you from passing at a point that you were commited to the act and that they hit you.
Apart from that take it easy and get well soon. Sorry I can't help more.

What's wrong with passing on corners? So long as there is visibility through the corner, nothing coming the other way, usual "so long as stuff". I do it, never had a problem with, just need to remember that cars will take a different line to bikes.

    *checks Road Code*

No, nothing in there prohibiting passing on non-blind corners.
