    Why Wheelies Are Great.

Coming home today, stuck in traffic, pull into a side street to take the slower but less stressful way home, ahh clear road, just dawdling along in no rush, ride past mum walking her two little kiddies home from pre-school, round a corner and up a hill, nice little straight stretch of road, two kids ~5 ish~ walking on the right and i decide what the fuck, tap it down two cogs and whack the throttle open.

Front wheel rises off the ground, nothing spectacular, just a good old power wheelie (the kind you would actually get laughed at if a biker saw it) but the look of joy on the little kids faces! The little boy turns to his friend/sister? like "did you see that!" and both of them have the look of "thats neat", nothing about consequences of actions - parents, Yeah that's badass - pubescent boys.

Just the pure joy of a child watching some clown do a wheelie. It's put me on a high that I managed to bring a smile to some little faces. So next time you're out riding do some wheelies, do them for the children.

P.S. this wasn't on the bike I'm trying to sell

    Yup. They love it.

I impressed the hell out of some kids Wednesday morning when the back wheel lost traction coming out of our street and did the old sideways powerslide.

They were giving me the thumbs up while I was reminding myself not to shut the throttle.

Must have looked good from where they were - but it sure didn't feel like it to me ...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yep, I agree it looks great, little do they realise that when it's not done on purpose you're think - Oh Sh*t! It's happened a couple of times to me, and the brains going 'don't chop the throttle, get some weight over the front, cover the rear brake - you knob!'

Loud vehicals in general I think. I usually get a thumbs up from the kids leaving school on my way home from work on the CX or the GB. The CX seems to get bigger grins though as it's exhaust note is fucking loud.

Oh an I agree with the thread originator, willies are great.................

Twas a few months ago and a troop of us were sitting outside a cafe in Lyttle River, on route to the Akaroa GP. A couple fo the guys with us decided to pull some wheelies and monos up and down the road. A woman walked out of the cafe, saw this disgraceful (yeah right) behaviour and ran back in the cafe, I thought to call the cops. In fact she'd run back inside to gather a crowd of kids to watch the show.

    Moms can be cool too.

Sit back in your seat, first gear with clutch in, redline it, let go of clutch.

    wheelies are the awesome.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
