A sitting duck....The criminal element ride Harley's....they also steal them, and they always have, before that they rode and stole British bikes.Anyone who buys a HD without being aware of this is pretty naive,it's only a matter of time before they are relieved of their pride and joy.It may sound tough - but I've lived close to and amougst these types, and owned the bikes they wanted to steal...still do - you gotta want to keep your bike. You have to let them know you plan to keep it....if you see them in your area, you make sure they know you have seen them, that you are aware of their presence.I've had practice in this area, believe me....

    That does it!

I'm going to start taking the keys out of mine and also start locking them up too!

Bastard pilfering swine, probably the kind of person that sells 'P' and kills babies.

One guy I heard of had his HD chained to a special ground-anchor cemented to the garage floor. When the scum realised they couldn't get at it, the spiteful bastards took it off the stand and dropped it.
    Keep it rubber-side down...

Actually - it's just that we live somewhere where there are more than 20 people.

Tell me, Big Dave, are Buells as much of a security risk?
Just interested to know. I have a friend with an M2 Cyclone.

seems to be less so, but thats chch for ya. Most the thieves down here probably wouldn't know it was a HD... doesn't *look* the part.
Having said that... is there as much of a problem with harley lookalics? Curious...

Used t'be Triumphs. I absolutely detest bike thieves.

Suspect it's even worse nowdays with HDs, cos back in the day, if you were sizing up to steal a Trump, y'had to take into account that most of the people that rode Triumphs prolly were either not the sort of people you wanted to piss off, or at least had mates who were that sort. So it was a bit risky

But now with HDs most of the HD riders are accountants and sales executives and HR droids and stuff like that, that no-one's gonna be worried about. So they're pretty much an open target.

proilly a good thing your boss didn't interupt him.

haha you havn't meet my boss... he is certainly not the coward dressed in a suit type... he's the type you'd think was in some rough gang... but he's not... also he knows some of the most scary people I've meet in the last few months... He's trained up military style, also did work for the Aussie police force, Aussie army, security training and advice, self defense training and advise amongst heaps of other "I'm the man" type training. I'd be scared to hire someone to do anything to him, because he'd proberly hurt the guy I paid to hurt him... then extract the information and then come after me... kind of guy...

He doesn't sound very nice from the description, but the good news is... I'm in his good books... lol so i don't need to worry about any of the above
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

Sounds like he has a small penis though.

All this macho training AND a big shiny Harley? Compensating for something.
