Being a beaurecratic organisation, perhaps we should suggest to them that they require a motormacycle "department" to attend to our needs...?
I suggested something simular in another thread awhile ago. Just not too sure how many bikes would join. If they did a survey to find out and it made their membership worthwhile they may look at it..............but I wouldn't hold your breath.

As stated earlier, it's not just the big boys toys getting nicked. Someones 50cc Vespa got taken here in Jaffa Central not too long ago, and a 150cc racing bike got swiped across from the University of Auckland's library. As long as there's money to be made, someone is willing to do the deed.
I personally would not only do everything within reason to appease my insurance company, but a bit more too. Now where did I save that copy of the Jolly Rogers' Cookbook, the contact switches and the remote deto..., I mean 'dis'arming device?

It bugs me cause they seem like nice people every time I go in there - and the maps and the touring stuff is great - whey can't they recocgnise just because we're on 2 wheels only we're road users too.
It's because they are old. Very very old.

When I ...ahem....ran out of fuel on the '10 on the motorway a while back on the on-ramp from the gorge. I had heard that you can get a fine by Mr Plod for doing so. I was unsure what to do so I rang the missus who had just got to work, so not an option.

Anyway just then an AA breakdown truck arrived and he helped me out with a gallon,..oops, 4.5litres of fuel. I didn't have any money on me being a pay- by-eftpos-person, so he he said forget it and be on my merry way.

Not all of the AA is bad.
