    Gudday!

Hey, don't worry about it - I'm 34 and getting into riding (though to be fair, I did some doolallying when I was younger!). I know exactly where you're coming from. I did the whole research process - checking up on bikes, reading Hough's Proficient Motorcyling, browsing as much info on the forums here, etc, etc

So, safely enjoy your ride and I'll be interested how your experiences are going along too!

    Huh, speak for yourself...

Welcome Bull, get as much advice as you can on the type of bike for you, there will be a lot so sift through it carefully and have a good look around. Remember, its your choice as to what you end up riding, a very personal choice based on many factors, that I am sure all here will respect.

Hey, I object to that description, it's not true, I've never crashed a bike!

Well went down to see the team at TSS Motorcycles yesterday, was bloody good - they showed me around all the gear and gave opinions and answered all my questions (coz there was lots), so now that i know there is a shop willing to help as much as possible im even more convinced to hurry up and get the BHS and licnesing done, hopefully within next fortnight i can get that all sorted.

    Cheers All

Bull, glad you found TSS helpful, they were fantastic with us.

I know this has been posted elsewhere but there is a great website with the driver licencing tests online which you can do and it scores your answers, good for learning before you go and do your learner test. (But remember that it only does the straight questions, there are others with pictures and give way rules that are only in the road code book). It's here

I've not long had my learners and I've found riding with hubby and another couple from Welly really helpful in boosting the confidence.

Welcome bull, you can borrow a copy of the motorcycle roadcaode from wellington public libary aswell as the websites listed by the guys here.

I bought my bike and gear at TSS and had a good experiance too, as for not buying the faired verion of the gt250r i just couldnt bring myself to do it, it just looks better.

Yes the bike has already been dropped but it was cheap as chips to fix including the fairing, parts were easy to get and the guys at TSS sorted for me, no stress.

    Happy buying.
