150/80/v16 is the tyre type I think.

I will only need it for about 20 mins :P

Any help would be great. (I would offer beer but I dont even have dosh for a six pack )
Mate how much do your folks love , after all riding on iffy tyres , and having no wof/reg can`t be good for the twinkle of their eye , could it . Have you tried that option. Good luck

just a thought...even if somebody was dull enough to lend you a tyre how would you put it on the rim...last time I looked it wasn't as easy as switching out a tube on a triumph 20.

Yep i agree with the stuff being said here... Get yourself the new tyre... I also am a ridiculously poor student (no time for out of uni work) but due to some budgeting (which i mostly blow anyway) i have been able to do general maintenance on my bike including changing my rear brake pads last week which would have passed a warrant but were (in my mind) unsafe... I will let you in on a secret... A night on the piss can cost around $100 - 150 which is plenty for a tyre... Spend a saturday night at home and get the tyre.

If you are really desperate then may i suggest prostitution... It's legal now and it pays better than burger king. Or the other thing that might work for you is a push bike. When you take into account traffic, time spent putting leathers and gloves and helmet and pants on (please tell me you have appropriate safety gear) and the time taken to let the bike warm up in the morning, it is probably in reality not too much longer to ride on a push bike... AND IT'S GOOD FOR YOU.

Just some thoughts that you might like to consider...

Thirdly, Ive been riding on it for ages and I havnt even come close to losing, sure the back has stepped out once or twice - in the wet but belive it or not I can actually ride so its no big deal....

Fourthly If I get the tyre I can get the wof (in a few weeks when I actually have money)then after two more weeks get the rego, but there is no way I can afford to get a tyre + rego + wof in the next payday. I Know you all are saftey concered sheep, but you must look at the facts, I don't enjoy going fast around corners, I can ride and controll it.

I know ideally that a new tyre would be great and i'll get one asap. But atm its not dangerous to be riding on it, I just cant afford the fines.

Also how long does your rego last after it expires? ive already been expires almost 3 months...
    Not really condoning it, but.
    1) The centre of the rear tyre is about the least important place to have tread. In the dry, having no tread there will actually aid traction, and the majority of the water on a wet road is cleared by the front tyre anyway. The Z6 has no tread in the centre of the rear tyre from new, i.e the entire contact patch, and it is the best wet weather tyre I have used.

    2) Renegade Master is pretty switched on and I feel sure he has weighed up the options and the degree of wear.

Is it a definitely not legal, or is it a bit touch and go.

Take it to a bike shop and promise to buy a tyre off them in the near future if they pass your bike....

Go to the warehouse and buy some jandals.

You may notice that they have nearly 0 treads - get a kitchen knife (since your on a budget) and cut yourself some kickass grooves.

Use superglue (if funds allow), or use the stickiest stuff known to man - dried man-slime + yella booger. Apply liberally to tyre, wait 4seconds, and attach said jandals.

    - a tip. De-thong the jandals after groovin'

I actually had a go using a homemade tread cutter, it worked very well untill it verd off and put a nice big split in my tyre....

But to all you saftey noobs I have now got a brand new tyre (only had to sell 1g of P to some primary kids - dont worry I cleaned the needles first) Now ive got a new tyre with almost the same amount as tread as my old one but way more slippy

How dose one scrub that slipery stuff off? I did a burnout, but thats only good for the center patch....
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
