the boys are always aksing the same question- is surfing better than sex? (usually surfing is better...)
WELL I reckon some days surfing is better then sex, and others sex is better than surfing.
I might have to get a better bike before i can subject riding to the same comparison...since my bike is only a notch above a nifty-fifty in the food chain...

Well as I've just started surfing, I can honestly say I'm much better at sex than surfing. But I want it all...

Managed to get a 5 second ride so far. yay

Hopefully should better that today.

Once I've finished saving for my next bike, I might be able to then get a board and suit of my own, instead of being limited to when I can borrow someone's.

Look at what they all have in common. Sex, surfing, motorbikes, rock climbing, etc, etc.

Adrenalin, and the fleeting feeling of being truely alive.

That's what I like, and the avenue to achieving it (for me at least) depends on the cirumstances and the day. How I get my fix doesn't concern me as much as making sure that I do get a fix.

Fair enough. And fair enough that any of our biker lasses/chicks/(substitute PC euphemism of your choice here) that ditch any guy that made a similar ultimatum.

Love the bike more than your partner? No, but I would be inclined to cool rapidly on anyone who cares so little about me to make ultimata* of any description.

Any such ultimatum screams "I don't respect you" - even if couched in "I get so worried with you on the bike" terms (= "I think you're incompetent" or "I know I'm being a total control-freak so I'll play the "I'm only thinking of you" card in the hope that I can disguise the fact").

Fortunately, it's not an issue for me - strayjuliet is OK with me and bikes (and the kids and bikes) and also wants to learn to ride so we can take the lads on Toy Runs etc. All this despite burning her leg quite seriously on the exhaust of the LS400 (does that mean it now owns her?) back when we started dating.

In fact, I've never known strayjuliet to make a "me or that" ultimatum and I would not expect her to - we have mutual respect.

Rapidly getting to old for both. Took the hint when 'she who must be obeyed' insisted I get a bigger bike. I know which I get the most mileage from though.

So has anybody found their partner having an affair with their bike instead??

Does the bike then have to choose who it wants to live with when you split up?
