    Oct2 - Morning commute

Felt like Jetski... Among other things it was a good opportunity to learn the limits of waterproofness of my gear.

    Anyone else riding this morning?
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

    Short answer...NO
Did ride home in it last night tho and most things stayed dry until I stopped at the lights in Epsom (always surface floods) and two cars coming the other way completely swamped me, I mean a wave over the top of my helmet type of swamping.
I even had my visor up...road water tastes a bit like waikato drunk from an ashtray, I know why I gave that up.

I no longer like Commodore drivers

My first ride in real rain..

Have to say, it was truck spray that was the real problem for me... rain wasn't so bad... and was good to see how waterproof my gear is.

Get to work and downstairs was flooded thus so were the shoes i keep here to change into. So i get to wear my riding boots all day today.

So how many chapters of Harry Potter did you get though on the train this morning?

I found that only the internal pockets of my gear are waterproof. Got a soggy mobile. Found a HUGE diesel spill on Grafton road. Nasty.

I haven't taken the train for a couple of weeks now.

The stench of peasents was putting me off my food.

Yep, it's a fine sunny day with only a small breeze down here, too hot for full-face or any poly-prop etc..
Been watching th odd one or two bikes cruising past, look like they're on tour going by the gear they have, bet they're having a ball.
