The honda is my pre-cursor to getting an aprilla in Jan 07 for my birthday. And yes i have experienced this on the VTR. If there was nothing else around, then i sure that those who think their IT, would bow their heads and ride one. If not, oh well their loss. Yes having the mack-daddy of bike, which ever class or type you prefer, is the most ideal position to be in, but dont forget where you came from; the 250 club. hahaha lol

The honda thing is to be taken with a grain of salt, but you will have more friends if you join the only true brethren of the way of the GSXR... This does however involve frequent off road excursions...
