To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
or sell weed to school kids...

I've always had a B plan for getting a new bike-
Talk to V, Red Bull, one of a number of youth-genre products, ask them to sponsor you ~$5000 (should be enough)
Then get them to paint your bike in Red Bull colours etc, and find a massive canyon. Get them to bring their good camera guys, with the hi 8 cameras, build a cheap plywood ramp, buy a parachute and learn how to use effectively, have this painted red bull colours as well.
Then, in a couple of weeks, there'll be an ad for Red Bull/whatever: Mafu1, drinks some Red Bull, goes racing around the canyon, then hits a corner too fast. Bike goes flying off the edge, nice chase shot of GS125 exploding into a kajillion pieces (because you got Sniper to make you up some C4/RDX/whatever beforehand) and then Mafu1 flying off into the sunset, Red Bull gives you wings.
Shame, though. Your profile shows that you're not particularly photogenic, so it probably won't work for you.
Copyright JS's great ideas. Likely Darwin Award candidate.

It's better to burn out then to Fade Away
Can you swim or do you like swimming? You can quickly and easily obtain a Pool Lifeguard qualification (for a small fee), then you could work at a Leisure Centre as a Lifeguard. They are always looking for temporary staff throughout the summer and the hours should be varied & flexible.
Just a thought, it's what I did in the UK before I moved to NZ.
Good luck anyway
Honestly having just gone through the stage that you are at now... Get a ginny...
The reasons why i say this is:
1. The most i ever spent on it after a bin was $70 to get it back on the road.
2. Its a good learners bike and doesn't cost $1800... mine cost $600 ($270 purchase price Plus $330 to get it all legal)
3. Parts are everywhere. And in most cases are transferable between models...
4. It is possible to tear one apart right down to the frame and engine and put it back together in one day. so it is good to learn basic maintenance...
5. Your parents will overtake you while out for a nice evening walk and will realise that it is impossible to kill yourself on one so will be more willing to help you out with maintenance costs (tyres, chains, sprockets, rego etc) if you are ever strapped for cash.
6. When you upgrade you will have no trouble selling it cos everyone loves the ginny's
