Your mate must be stoked that his expensive radar detector gave him so much warning...I mean, it's nearly as good as the human eye at spotting cops that thing...from his story.

Wasn't Lou. It was his friend. Prolly not a close friend either, Lou prolly doesn't even know his name, or address, or what bike he rides. And it wasn't a runner, no red and blues . So no failure to stop when required to. It was a dodger. Quite legal.

If Lou read about this tax avoidance on the interdweebnet, then it must be true...

    Mine won't do 75.
Well, actually it does now. But I only found that out on a closed private road, with medical facilities close by.

Next time I'm going to make the law chase me for a while. Might as well get my money's worth of entertainment. Giving oneself up immediately doesn't seem to elicit brownie points, so why bother?

reminds me of the time my 'friend' was being chased by a raceboy on the open road, they got upto speeds over 200, then my friend thought hmm theres usually a cop just up here, so he slowed down and let the car go blasting by, only to pass it minutes later on the side of the road, having a disco with another car. Or the time another friend was test piloting a zxr750 in the city, came around a corner, singlet billowing in the 90kph wind, and hello theres a cop car going the other way. He didnt even pause to look for brake lights, opened it up, left, right, right, left, right, round the block, round the back of the house, home free. Or the time some guys i know were riding dirtbikes in the foresty and a cop car tryed to chase him, never turned on his lights, but he sure did put on the chase, didnt even stop to open the gate, just shunted it open with the bull bars. was lucky they had hidden the transport van and also lucky it had tinted windows, as there was only one road out, gate was still open when they left, musta still been in there looking, heh heh. I have some norty friends, i try to tell them, but they are just hoons. never mind, we all grow old and gain some sense with age, and those who dont make it, well thats natural selection im sorry to say.

Unlike the guy on a red bike just out of Hinuerea on Monday at 4pm. Came over the rise to see the disco was underway. Thought it was an accident at the intersection but the two cops cars had stopped a bike. Didn't get a good look at the bike as the rider had just moved it behind the cop car as I went past. You may out run one car but two could prove interesting.
