No, unless she was hot and had big tits.
No, unless she was hot and had big tits.
Which all just proves the point, some bike shops give crap service unless you look like you are ready to hand over some cash, while others understand that good-will and service generate repeat customers.
I'm off to KFC so I'd better go put on my jandals or they might not serve me....

I agree that this must be annoying to them but isn't it also part of their job to make sure people feel welcome and appreciated in their shop. One day a person it looking and then one day they will be buying.
I agree with RR they need to pay at least some attention.
At the least an acknowledgement your in the shop and give us a yell if u need something.
Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family... Trainspotting
Problem Is How Does A Salesman Take A Woman Seriously , He Knows That She Maybe In The Shop But In Reality She Should Be Standing In Front Of A Stove With All 4 Burners Going Get A Hot Meal Ready For Her Hard Working Man ,and If She Actually Is Looking At A Bike Its Prolly Only The Pillion Seat Shes Checking Out, Anyway Woman Dont Have Money
Well that doesn't make sense. A woman needs a bike, how else is she going to go and collect the eggs. No bike, no eggs to cook. See. Logic.

cept you were pointing at my future bike.......
Have to admit:
Headlights , gorgeous, well stacked.
Curves in all the right places, flat in all the inmportant places and soft where you make contact.
Just the right amount of feisty to keep life interesting.
Civilised enough to meet the family.
Hot enough to make other men and many women jealous.
Not to mention the deep husky rumble on song.
Public transport? have you ever tried to get anywhere on public transport? Do you really want to wait that long for your eggs ?
Moreover, another reason why a woman needs a bike. If she doesn't have one hows she going to take you places if you lose your licence ? (those too small fueld tanks, eh). You wouldn't want her riding your bike, would you?

On the 3 occasions that I was ignored it seemed that the salemans were either talking to mates or existing customers that were in for a chat( I could be wrong). The only time I wasn't ignored was when I actually bowled up to the counter and asked, and then I omly pointed to the direction of what i was after, no back up so left empty handed.
Looks like i will be tring the wellington city stores.
try bikesport hellinsville guy by the name of matthew runs it seems to be a good chap let me take a 2006gsr600 for a blast which was fun till i droped it bill for $1400 later still got it up to 175kmh still accelerating hard in 6th at bout 7000rpm stll was good fun.
Good luck with the Hamilton shops - every time we have been in them the service in all but one couldn't have been worse. In one we walked around for a good 15 minutes, even tried on some gloves and jackets, and got ignored the whole time. Oh, I lie, we got glared at when we walked out the door! Huge shop, split level from memory.
The shop on the sunny side of the road was better, can't remember what it was called but the staff there were chatty at least.
Have to agree with you about the Lower Hutt stores - if I go in by myself I am ignored, but if I go in with my husband, they actually speak!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
well i work in boat sales, and know almost every trick in the book, even when a customer tells pretty much tells me to fuck off (ie. im just browsing) i can work so that if i walk away, they get back to me![]()
Every customer who walks thorugh our gates is greeted and qualified.
Ive been to a lot of bike shops and wonder why they are so different in the sense that you don't get seen too, I pretty much think you have to walk into the middle of the showroom, and wave a wad of cash around in the air...
Agreed re: mt eden, very helpful, even though always busy.
