The lady in red is dead

short story shorter, my bike is written off.

I only have to wait until march to get my full license though, and I'm overdue for a license suspension serving.

question 1: does anyone have a dirty crapper ( =< 250cc )bike they want to lend or sell cheap to me (that goes) so I can communte for the next 5 months or until I 'encourage' a cop to stop me and take my license off me.

question 2: can one of our auckland police officers and let me know if they would be intrested in stopping me (routinely) so I dont nessesarily need to speed to get pulled over for a license removal. I have been waiting to be served for ages and it would be awesome to get the three months done before my full.

Thanks in advance for your replies

Rock on into a cop shop, tell them you want that notice served - you've come to hand yourself in... whatever.

Re the bike... nothing hat I know of

Forget the intermediate step - this http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...55&postcount=1 will guarantee loss of license...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Sorry to hear about the bike. What happened?

As MDU says, just go hand yourself in
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

The police aren't the ones who take your license off you, it is done through the courts.

I also am waiting for the knock, I even rang them (ltsa) and tried to arrange to try and speed things up.

I thought I would try and do my 3 months while doing the 28 days, 4-6 weeks to be served apparently, arse.

There does not seem to be any incentive to play the game, wonder why people don't pay the fines?

Just a thought - someone else with more knowledge on the matter might have to confirm, but if you loose your licence while on a restricted, doesnt it push back how soon you can get your full? I seem to recall something from the depths of my memory, that if you lost your licence while on learners or restricted, that you pretty much had to start the licencing process all over again.

I could be wrong, but if I'm not then you might want to try and hold on to it for those last three months.

Sorry, wqas a bit rushed on that one. When I lost mine, I tried every avenue I could to get it served immediately, but they just simply wouldn't. Due process and all that. You'll just have to sit tight till they come a knocking. Sorry bout that.

Loss as opposed to suspension. Loss is immediate, suspension, it all picks up where it left off at termination of the suspension.

I called the ltsa, they advised the the documents had been sent back to them and they had raised me as 'intresting' to the police so if I get stopped I can have it taken off me then and there.

I just called back and asked them about the suspension process affecting my minimum term before applying for a full license and they said: the 3 months while disqualified do not go towards your 18months for a full, in other words, I need to tack on 3 months onto the end of my 18.

in regards to your question sniper,
I was going home and at an intersection a bike courier came infront of me (my green) and we colided, not much damage so we chatted about insurance and stuff then I left, I was following a car and noticed my windscreen was broken, when I looked up the car infront of me had stopped since someone was doing a u-turn in the road (that person buggered off while I was on the ground) that one did the real damage, alot of cosmetic stuff and bent the forks and pegs and stuff. it got towed and my hot gf came with beer to pick me up

edit: I called ltsa again (3 times today) you can get a full or a restricted license while you have more than 100 demerits, as long as its a current license.

But how can you legally sit the practical test, when you have no licence?
