Sorry mate, no help whatsoever, just an observation.
Isn't it funny how when the original Goldwings were introduced they were seen as a sporting machine (if not an outright sports bike) but now they have mutated into a Cadillac minus a couple of wheels.

I had a 75 GL1000 and they are quite collectable now, - of course everything depends on condition - and how original it is. I'd estimate a dog would be up to $2000, depending again on how complete etc. They were THE superbike when they came out, electric start with a kick start lever stored in the dummy tank etc. Troll Trade ME - there is one on sale now I think - it's very tidy though...........

thanks for that. looks pretty much stock and damn straight also.

only thing i can note is one of the crome tips on the exhaust has snapped off (during transit on a trailer), and thats just a weld and its sorted.

    pics to come

I've had a VERY disturbing desire to build a custom sports tourer / cafe racer out of an old Goldwing..... (no seriously) Has it got hard panniers with it?

If it's not expensive, done a zillion miles or got any terminal engine damage I could be interested. Cosmetics I don't care about.

I love (not) the ones with the vetter fairings etc - good god - real road barges...

hmm - what about a mad max off road tourer? Like a BMW GS sorta thing??

Always liked the idea of a K bike but been a bit worried about reliability - so many conflicting stories.. I see heaps of them about here painted flat black and driven HARD so they must be getting scarce ....

I've never been taken with the K series....except the K75.It's a triple, smaller and lighter.I'd be keen on a flat black naked K75,it would fullfill several of my requirements.

Definately a googles on top of the open face, gas mask bag over the shoulder kinda bike. Liked the look of the pearl white S models with the little fairing but hated the thought of the complications... scared of progress probably..

Can't be too bad. An old riding buddy did 200,000kms on his K75 before the piston tops seperated..................

Eeeek Did he find out why ??

That's rather scarey at such a low mileage.
