    Direct from www.mcnews.com.au:

"From the middle of next year Honda will no longer produce any two-stroke machines of any kind."

I'd say definitly to do with emissions, as of a certain time to rego will be hard to get for them if they havent already got it. bloody shame. BASTARDS. does this include jetski's etc?

How many more times is this subject going to be posted new when it's been known about for months.

Not too many years ago Honda didn't produce ANY two strokes, they were never a 2 stroke producer and only made them to keep competitive. Now through regulations 4 strokes are competitive they can drop the evil 2 stroke.

There has been lots said about their MX two strokes being put to death but this is the first anyone I've spoken to has seen what is close to a definitive use by date for ALL two strokes across the complete Honda range.

We aren't just talking competitive stuff but garden variety commuters etc as well.

But Honda commuters used to be all 4 strokes too - the C50,the CB's...Honda built their Empire on 4 stroke commuters. When the single speed scooter craze happened in the '80's they had to bring out 2 strokes to get the zip people wanted....scooters have moved on too.Honda have been in the 2 stroke market very reluctantly,it goes against everything the old guy stood for.

Hey, when Honda can build bikes like this 4-stroke 125 5-cylinder RC149 back in the '60s that pulls 20,000rpm, who needs 2-strokes !!!

I think that's the front brake cable.

Was Honda's attempt to keep up with the Suzukis.

It does look like the front brake cable as Ixion suggests.
No speedo, this was an out and out Grand-Prix racer - 38hp @ 20,500rpm could rev to 22,000rpm safely, 85kgs, 145mph top speed.

This was (and still does) where Honda excelled, max efficiency from 4-strokes.

Do visit that link, I've got it at home and been through it.
They don't make sounds like they used to, when the noise police didn't exist !!
