maybe he just wanted to look at your bike...

i dont see why people get angsty about things like this, he didnt ticket you for something obscure, he saw you were being a safe rider and let you on your way...

    wheres the problem?

    ohhh... found it

How did he know that you ought to have an L plate if he did not see your licence ?

(PS - what time was this? After nightfall, obviously)

So the coppa pulls you over, takes your word that you have a licence AND and L plate, doesn't check your rego/details and you think he's a cock?

Any chance that he saw the yellow L plate hidden???????

Wait till you meet a real power tripping cop.

What! Is that all? Come on, you can do better than that. My popcorn franchise isn't going to make money out of that pathetic Mr Nice Guy response. Try again please.

i was wondering why this guy had so much red rep...now i know!

ive been stopped at warrent/rego checks twice. once my bike was checked, the second, myself and another rider also on a gn [coming from the opposite direction] were both waved through. with the first i was worried about being lectured for my l plate, considering its barely there...one corner was cut off as it blocked my indicator, the opposite corner was eaten by the tyre one day, and ive just noticed another crack. but, nope, got waved through no worries.

ive got no problem with cops doing their job...its when they do stuff for no reason that i get antsy, or when they dont do things they should be doing [like not charging the cow that ran a stop sign and hit me, helping the boy whos dirtbike got knicked.]

Do not throw your pop-corn away just yet, I am awaiting a response from the red-rep poster of the dribble thread starting post, after all, t'would be only fair to give them the chance of rebuttal.

Would there have been any other reason, that the nice officer decided to interrupt his busy shift, to have a chat with you?
    An interest in bikes?
    Riding behaviour?
    Bored?
Donut shops all closed for the night?
    Saw someone doing a wheelie?
    Etc.
