    Congrats Klingon,

I had never ridden until the BHS as well, here is my earlier training update log that I kept for the first 6,000km.

Here's the GN250 with after market mirrors [below] to give you a choice, these mirrors are a little bit longer and larger mirror area.

Thanks BuckBuck, I've already ordered the new mirrors for Volty. I decided to go with the original round ones because she looks so good with a big round headlight, a round speedo and the round mirrors.

The speedo is her only instrument. Stunning simplicity! Excuse me while I go out to the garage to admire her once more before bed time.

So what do you reckon about Voltys then? What can I expect from the old girl? She's a 1995 model and a bit tired looking but basically mechanically sound (Mack the Knife and Dave C both test rode her for me, Heavenly Talker gave me moral support and good advice.)

I also got my Basic Handling Cert on Sunday and aim to do my learner's theory later this week. I'll be on the road in no time! Woohoo! Watch out world, here I come!

Lol thanks Swanny I'll keep that in mind

It took me a long time because I knew I wanted a Volty but I couldn't find one at the right price. And also because I'm a bit slow. In so many ways. LOL
