I assume you mean the rego sticker, not the plate (many cars are having this done for use in petrol drive offs - scumbags!!)

Sucks man - sorry to hear that.

I've had it happen several times. Very annoying. They will give you another one for free, but it is a nuisance. Plus one does not always notice immediately, which could cause plod problems. Why do they do it, the rego number is on teh sticker?

I once had the whole front bumper and plate nicked off my '71 Falcon while it was parked on the street.

I have recently had my REGO number plate go missing as did Speedy girl in chch....

It cost me $8.80 to get a new number plate, new updated rego sticker and a updated WOF sticker.

Not as bad as what some permanetly cursed twits did one night to me. Stole my SR's back suspension, indicators and the wiring. One thing though, I was just about to pay for new suspension after saving up for it because the old ones were stuffed. Good riddance and I hope they crashed the F'ing B's.

Got new WOF and rego last month and man what a job it was to unscrew both sides as the Alleykey bolts were tight as. Took me ten minutes each side. Funny enough I checked they were still there just the other day not that I could see them coming off in any hurry.

Was tempted to stick my Rego on the wind screen but didnt like the look. Perhaps we need small lockable slots we can put them in. Use to stick my WOF under the seat years ago but I understand both WOF & rego needs to be on display now? Whats the ruling please.

They MUST be displayed where they can be seen at all times.

Quasi got caught out in Hamilton by a parking warden about a year back... as his was under his seat.

bought a car few years back, looked through the pile of reg stickers to find one that did not belong to car... then found another that was cut in half..

...they had stuck the one that did not belong to the car behind the one cut in half, so that the plate number was showing and date of other one was visible.

    cheap trick.

people do it so they can park in town etc and not get a ticket... stupid though as if your pulled over, a quick check revels all...

mines glued to rear swing arm and covered with a bit of duraseal.. try and remove it and it will rip.
