drop the bike off at my house and i'll give you a ride to the airport. Depending on the time your flight leaves you may have to take a taxi but that is only $20 to the airport from where I live.

American dad: So you just pound on it for two minutes until your done?

Never flown from Palmy before so I have no idea of the car park layout.

Just called the airport to ask about charges for bike parking and they assure me it's the same cost, but I'm not so sure...

Does anyone have any experience with parking their bike there?

    2 posts up, dude.

And if you were crazy enough to leave your bike at the airport, there is no challenge in getting out without paying...

Flying to the U2 concert from Plamy? Why, is Wellington Airport broken? Oh, wait, it probably is...

Take Bonez, or one of the other KB's up on their offer of storage, and get a lift to the airport.
It isn't that Milson is not safe, it is more a case of Idle shitbags being everywhere these days. They just don't know that you leave other peoples stuff alone.

You never have to pay to park a bike anywhere. This is a fundamental biker credo.I have never , in 40 years, paid to park a bike. And I never will. It's like parking on the footpath outside where you want to go to.

I'm only 5-10 minutes from the airport have a large lockup garage and depending on the flight times can probably organise a taxi service

    1. Wasn't prepared to take the chance of fog/wind/some other shitty Wellington weather robbing me of my flight to Auckland
    2. Fancied flying from somewhere new
    3. Panicked when the new dates were released and there were no flights available from Welly when I looked! LOL

I'm probably going to take the car rather than the bike, but thanks for everyone's offers of storage - really appreciate it

Now I have to figure out whether to risk Akatarawa Road (having never driven it before) or whether to go over Piecock now that it's been reopened.....any guesses at which is faster? Piecock looks faster on the map....
