Many of the "atitude" problems with enclosed vehicle drivers on the road is because the driver feels safe and invulnerable and thinks he / she can get away with being a prick.
If someone has transgressed against you seriously enough, one option is to patiently wait till they are stuck at the next traffic light, park your bike safely on the footpath and go and have a word with them.
Keep in mind that if they turn out to be agressive that it is quite easy to prevent someone who is seated in a car seat from opening the door and climbing out.

They're just shitty cause they're in a car stuck behind another car

I don't ride my bike every day in fact i get get to ride it very little as i work 2 jobs and both require a company vehicle. When I'm out and about in a normal day and I see a lovely 2 wheeled beauty comimg up side me and I'm sittig in traffic I think, arse! wish I was on my bike right now. Probrably what every other shitty prick is thinking but they don't have a bike to ride and therefor realise that sitting in traffic is there lot. Just my thought.

I saw something very cool at the beginning of Remuera Rd a week or so back, you know the intersection of Remuera Rd and Newmarket. The guy was on a TU250, and a driver tried to block him off as he was trying to lanesplit, even while the biker was still moving. Not deterred by that, Mr Volty carried straight through between the two cars, standing up on the pegs and turning his body sideways and side to side to slalom through the two car's wingmirrors. Looked superb! Guy in the car looked pissed off.

You mean he turned so as to take out the two mirrors? or to miss them ? I'd just keep going.

Had one a few weeks back, was quietly minding my own business filtering down the left of stopped traffic in a careful and law abiding fashion (no left turn, so quite safe).

And Mr Dork decides , for whatever reason, that he should prevent this. So he turns his car inward toward the kerb so as to block me off. To the point his left front wheel is just about touching the kerb

Hm.Okay. One thing about a chook chaser , you can follow the chooks wherever. So hippity hoppity hop, and hop onto the footpath, and tootle the few yards past Mr Dork, and the car in front of him (just to put a bit of space between me and him). Bumpity bumpity bump, down onto the road again and filter up to my rightful and proper place at the head of the queue.

Meanwhile Mr Dork has been tooting his little tooter like a small boy who has just discovered tooting, and in my mirror I see he's actually opened his door and gotten out. But then the lights changed so I pootled off.

I think Karma may have had a word with Mr Dork though, cos watching in my mirror he seemed to be having some trouble.

I think he had turned so sharply toward the kerb that he couldn't straighten up without backing up a bit. And I think the cage behind him, when the light went green had crept right up behind him , as they do, so that Mr Dork couldn't back up. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Lot of class and style that! Would have made for a very good comedy moment!

Lol what a tit. I would've been worried about myself falling off my bike from laughing too much haha. What kind of turkey does something like that anyway? I wonder if that was the same guy that had had his wingmirror recalibrated earlier by one of our more high strung members?

Best is steel toe-cap boots on car tail light. Both sides. Very expensive for the car owner. Works well!

    Small weanered boy-racer

Thought I'd add this one. on the South Eastern headen home the other night and this small dicked wanker in a red Evo actually nudged my rear tire while we were stationery in traffic ! I turned around to give him "the glare" and the prick flips me the bird. Couldn't believe it. Was just about to get off my ride and smack the bonnet with my reinforced MX gloves but the traffic started moving. Tossed up still getting off and doing the aforementioned damage but thought I'd just get his plate number and pay his doorstep a visit with a lit paper bag and some doggie doo but he changed lanes and I couldn't read it. So if anyone out east sees such a cage in the Pakuranga area, take his mirroor out for me would ya.
If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning

IMO,Hmmm unsure whether they could work that one out. Its giving credit to the moron/driver/a******* that they are actually thinking, reasoning persons while they are tailgating and endangering your life... clearly during the time they are doing this they are not.

i ride sensble as well....my speed while down south a mix of 80-110k...usually 80, lol. i was in no hurry to get where i was going, and was happy at 80k, specially since it was all new roads to me.
even when going 110 [only when the wind was up and i had to try and stay in a straight line] i had cagers right up my ass. even when the speed limit dropped for towns/roadworks/corners they stayed right up close.
im not an aggressive rider...i do hold my place on the road till i can safely move left to allow cars by. i really wish id slapped the bitch that hit me last year...just that once it would have been good to be aggressive and be fine with it.
i went to the hutt when coming back and went back over the haywards hill. its posted at 80, i was doing 70 or so, had a car right up my arse and nearly had a head on with 2 cars due to not being able to slow down enough for the corner. nowhere to pull off either.
id rather save my life and just let bad drivers go ahead....same reason i never filter at the lights, and hate being first in line.

i dont care if get somewhere late....so long as i get there

btw...that cop that overtook with no indicators was near dinsdale/dunsdale [cant remember which, lol.]
