Do bikers have an acceptance of crashing, or have more of a risk taking attitude that leads to high instances of crashing.......

Cheers all, keep em coming if you haven't voted yet. I expected at least one or two higher votes....

Curious - did this change of heart happen immediatley after the crash, or over the ensuing months?

I always told myself that I'd slow down. Then someone pointed out that I ride an FXR. It don't go fast.
you've still managed to crash it 6 times.....

One - Hopped off the bike to get the mail out of the mail box.

Slight angle had the bike near vertical on the stand, 2/3 of a tank of gas. Must of been the speed at which I jumped off, because a couple of sloshs later the bike was off balance and *bang*. Scrap to the mirror surround, and sratched handle butt. Bar still looks straight.

Still doesn't answer the question though. Some bikers (I'd say half the Auckland crew on the Coro loop run for example) have more of an acceptance of crashing while on their bikes, some while on their cars and some are just mental and tend to crash both lots of the time.

I've fell off my horse 4 times in the past 6 months (2 off-road) if you want higher votes?

The poll might be better if it also included reference to the mileage. One in 20,000k is better than one when the guy only rides around the bays on the sunniest days of the year.

Sorry, but I'm too superstitous to vote in the poll
