ummm......bit speachless about this inlite of other events.....just what a fantastic guy....he really really was....so many people hold him in such high reguard.....he will be a living memorie for a long time to come....
and if you looking down and reading this bruce....I won't forget that beer I still owe ya....we'll catch up at some time for it!!
OMG! I just got through reading about the boys up North and now this! I can't believe it. Bruce was such a great guy - a great mentor, an idol, and a friend. He always had time for everyone. I will always remember his never ending patience riding with newbies, keeping them under his protective wing. KB rides will never be the same again. He will be truely missed. RIP UncleB.
We'll miss you Bruce. You have a been a great friend for many years. A terrific sports man, handy man, and helper to all. Ever since your DR BIG you have had a passion for motorcycling that has grown day to day, and it's a real shame this became your downfall. We will remember you always, and comfort those that remain.
Debbie, our thoughts and shoulders are with you during this time.

RIP, man...
Everybody, please, black side on tarmac, painted/shiny side up, big lamp pointing forward. No more, please! I think we filled the quota for the next century or so.
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
It was 3 years ago last October that my brother was killed on the same stretch of road whilst riding with friends. His family received similar fantastic support from fellow riders and friends. Bruce, a neighbour to my mother, was also supportive and kind to her.
Here we are 3 years later lamenting another loss under similar circumstances. I had hoped there would not be another motorcyclist lost amongst that loose group of friends and acquaintances that can so often be seen at the top of the Rimutaka Hill.
It would be great if we can learn something from this latest loss and therefore prevent another. I wonder, if like me, Bruce's family will recieve the LTSA glossy newsletter some time after the event with relevant latest road safety statistics where, buried amongst the numbers in a column, is the number that represents your family member and friend.
My sincere condolences to Bruce's family.
Wow. I normally dont like to post in these threads, and I was shocked to just read about LooseBruce. However UncleB was another one of the few how I had frequently ridden with while living in wellington.
I have never been a fan of the group rides, you never know how much to trust other people on the ride. Riding with Bruce removed this, he always made you feel at ease and want to come back for more.
RIP mate.
Has anyone seen my baffles?
Blown away to hear the sad news, was a pleasure riding with you

This Monday is just getting worse and worse......So so sorry to hear about Bruce. My sincere condolences to his loved ones and family. A more truer gentleman and most excellent person that you could ever hope to know.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a hymen
RIP UncleB. Condolences with family and mates.
I cannot believe Bruce is gone. I rode up with him from Pram to Dvirke late August - he helped when I had my accident. You could not meet a more wonderful giving guy. Fantastic rider too. RIP Bruce, sincere condolences to your family.

Stink.
Can't think of any other words.
Only met him once, but he was a top bloke.
Ride safe folks.

Yikes... this is the first time it's someone I've actually met...
Uncle Bruce led the 2nd TCWNR I ever came on, I had been on a bike about exactly a week then. We went out the back of Upper Hutt, then up the Takas. Coming down, the 250s left first, and knowing I'd hold everyone else up, I went down last, and predictably got left behind.
Then the bigger bikes came up from behind and I pulled left to let them pass. What surprised me then was that Uncle B then pulled in front of me to show me the lines, while the rest held back and just about escorted me down the hill! Way beyond the proverbial call of duty, and is probably the reason I've been on KB all this time...
Uncle B, you are a top bloke, and will be sorely missed... RIP...
Damn...
